The Content Market was opened on Wednesday, September 26 at the Kazmedia Center as part of the Astana Media Week. The exhibition was attended by 15 television companies, more than 50 production studios and other industry players. The participants share their projects and discuss topical issues of the Kazakhstan media industry.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Astana Media Week, Minister of Information and Communications of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev noted the importance of media for modern society of Kazakhstan.
"Your ideas are changing everyday both the information landscape and also give an impetus to the processes in various areas - from politics to finance, from agriculture to sports. Against this background, the significance of a broad discussion of urgent problems, the development of concrete solutions and mechanisms for further work is growing considerably. It is for this purpose the Astana Media Week gathers not only journalists and representatives of the state bodies but also the PR community, as well as foreign specialists," D.Abayev stressed.
The Minister noted that last year at the Astana Media Week the republican TV channels opened many new and int
eresting projects, and expressed the hope that AMW would become a traditional event for the professional community.
The Content Market is an effective platform for dialogue between the media content customers, large TV and radio companies and representatives of the private production market: production studios, creative teams, producers' centers, author's projects in the field of information, media entertainment, music and cinema.
Also, the professional and open pitches take place today where the professionals provide the projects of television, Internet and other media products waiting for their implementation. The participants will discuss important industry issues during the Media Talks informal conference "Professions of the Future".
Astana Media Week will last until September 28. It is attended by over 2,000 guests, 60 top managers of media industry of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, 15 national TV channels and more than 50 production companies. The event will include master classes and panel discussions on actual topics of contemporary media market development, a Forum of regional mass media and Astana Digital Forum with the participation of foreign experts.
